The Oromo of Ethiopia, the largest ethnic group, have their own indigenous religion known as Waaqeffanna. They believe in one Waaqa guraacha (black God) – God who created universe and various forms life. has multiple attributes. is He before everything else. Uumaa (a creator world). hunda beekaa (omniscient). Waaqni gonkumaa kan hin Duune (God immortal). hundaa tolaa (omnibenevolent). danda’aa (omnipotent). Nothing impossible with Waaqa. source lover dhugaa (truth). Qulqulluu (pure). people that olden days was living on Earth only later left anger because personal sin became invisible. at same time manifests Himself different ways. This paper teases out highlights core views God, his relationship world problem evil.
